Wintergreen

Gaultheria procumbens

Wintergreen has small white bell-shaped flowers in spring that turn into large red, edible berries that resemble miniature apples. Reaches 12 to 18 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide. The berries release a winter fresh fragrance when crushed. Excellent as table top centerpiece or in a holiday planter.
