Shantung Maple
Acer truncatum
This small tree is resistant to leaf scorch and also has heat and drought tolerance. Leaves emerge a reddish-purple and become dark glossy green with fall coloration of yellow-orange-red. Shantung Maple has a small, round-headed canopy and grows 20 to 30 feet tall and wide.
