Pinus ponderosa
Large, straight trunked tree with a wide, open, irregularly cylindrical crown. Growing 60 to 100 feet tall and 25 to 30 feet wide. Dark gray-green, olive or yellow green needles are in threes, rarely two or five. A large conifer that can tolerate dry soil climates and has tolerance to shade.
