Black Mondo Grass
Ophiopogon planiscapus 'nigrescens'
This evergreen perennial has dark purple to black leaves. Light pink flowers appear in late summer, followed by the setting of berries which are black. At maturity it can be 6 to 12 inches tall and wide.
