A durable, long-lived North American native that is drought tolerant. It's deep taproot enables it to survive in hot, dry climates. Reaches 12-18 inches tall. To lengthen bloom time, remove spent flower stalks. Fine textured foliage is topped all summer with 2-inch spikes of rose-pink blooms resembling small butterflies.
