Cercis chinensis 'Avondale'
Dark magenta blooms profusely cover the stems and even the trunk of this smaller, compact Redbud in the spring. The blooms are followed by glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves. This compact tree matures at 8 to 10 feet tall and wide.
